Sonic fingerprint
A series of tribal-inspired generative artworks for RKHN's demo tracks
My goal for this series was to create a kind of fingerprint for each track. The shapes that are generated are not random, but based on the frequency spectrum of each track. This frequency spectrum is drawn frame by frame for the whole track. Using a whole bunch of post processing I achieve the final look.

Fledge brand refresh
As Fledge becomes more mature, it needed a updated visual language. When I first joined Fledge as a rookie designer in 2019, the first thing I did was create a simplified, recognisable brand. Four years later, I built upon this initial design to create a robust design language with a slight but significant brand refresh.
I set out to build upon the color palette of navy and orange, updating it by adding an additional accent color ('Wolfram', a popping neon yellow color), and better navy.
In addition, I've updated the logomark with a new brand font and an simplified version of the Fledge bird, which is now nicely integrated into the logo.
Finally, I've created a design pattern that nicely ties all the Fledge visuals together. It is called the dynamic matrix. It is a dot gradient that was inspired by one of the key UI elements in the application. It is an easy to implement element that makes Fledge visuals instantly recognisable.

Logue: analogue feeling, digital perks
With Robbert-Jan Berkenbos
Brand design and campaign management for my friends at Logue. Together, we created an identity for their startup. Logue are the creators of the CL-1, a MIDI controller for musicians who work with digital tools, aiming to give them back the feeling of using an analogue synthesizer. This bridge between the digital and analogue world is something we really wanted to convey in the brand.
In addition to creating this initial brand, I also helped manage their crowdfunding campaign. A hectic period in which we created a lot of social media content of all sorts. Shortform video, animations, graphics, explainers and a special launch event, to name a few.

A sonic exploration of night life
With Robbert-Jan Berkenbos
NiCE is a collective with the goal to put night culture back on the map in Enschede. Robbert-Jan and I have been making some really fun things for NiCE. Robbie from the inside, playing an important role in this collective as booker for this event and as promotor, and with me being in the fun position to create the visual identity.
The visual language of NiCE really evolved very organically. I remember sitting with robbie to make the first stuff and I came up with a concept for the logo within 5 minutes and we both instantly resonated with it.

Point clouds and building blocks
With Leon Groothaar
Wintor is looking to democratise augmented reality (AR) by creating a platform to easily create, share and experience augmented reality tours.
In the summer of 2022, Wintor approached the studio to help them create a new brand identity & to redesign the web component to their app. In close collaboration with Leon Groothaar, UX designer at Wintor, we created a unique and fresh brand identity consisting of building blocks that refer to the modular nature of creating an AR tour.
Within these building blocks we we put so-called point clouds. These are graphical representations of how a device can register space using LiDAR. This is essential for creating AR experiences.
